FINDS sponsors a number of programs for the education and improvement of the family that has a child with Down Syndrome.  Some of the programs we provide are:

 

  • Summer Reading & Math Program - weekly program to improve reading skills and minimize backsliding
  • Monthly reading and math program during school year.
  • Education speakers on relevant topics to special needs families
  • Community Awareness events
  • Scholarships to help defray costs of attending relevant educational conferences, etc.
  • Bi-Monthly newsletter to keep our families informed of new ideas and changes
  • This website
  • Support Group Membership in National Association of Down Syndrome
  • Associate Membership in National Down Syndrome Society

 

All of our board members and group leaders are volunteers and donate their time, efforts, knowledge, etc to keep this group running.  In that way, 100% of your donation goes directly to the programs and events we host and sponsor.

FINDS (Family Ideas Network for Down Syndrome) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in good standing since 1999.  Your donation will be recognized with a thank you letter detailing your donation which you can use at tax time.
