Welcome to our Website!!

FINDS is a parent support group serving McHenry County and Northern Kane counties in Illinois. We share information with our members through monthly coffees, a bi-monthly newsletter, educational speakers, and several parties during the year.

Right now you may be in one of two categories. The first is the "What do I do now?!" and the second is "How can I help?" On this website we try to to offer help to both categories. Here you will find links and references to books, websites, and support groups (ours included) that will help you decide what that next step is. From a parent with a new child with Down Syndrome to a parent going through those all important transitions with their child, here we will give help in as many areas as possible.
And for those willing to help, there will be ways listed to assist and to reach out to our communities and raise the awareness of just what our children can do for themselves and for this planet!

New! License Plate Frames

The license plate frames are now available.  Every family who volunteered their time this year will receive 1 free license plate frame.  If you wish to receive additional ones or could not volunteer this year, they are only $5 each.

To get your license plate frames, bring only $5 per frame to any of our events or contact us to arrange to pick them up.
